Actor Rajesh Dhruva, who recently began learning to play the chenda melam, shared that it took him 15 days to master the traditional percussion instrument of Kerala. Rajesh, known for his Kannada film debut in Shri Balaji Photo Studio, is now collaborating with director Sukesh Shetty on his upcoming project titled Peter, which centers around the chenda melam. In order to accurately depict his character, Rajesh decided to acquire basic chenda playing skills, dedicating 15 days to training. He also underwent weight loss training to resemble a chenda artist. Rajesh emphasized the importance of integrating folk music seamlessly into the storyline to offer a fresh and captivating experience for viewers in today's competitive film industry. Despite his achievements in movies, Rajesh is committed to continuing his work in television to maintain a stable income, with a plan to potentially focus solely on films once he has established himself further in the industry.
